This second edition of the Les Paul guitar was introduced in 1954. Called the 'Gibson Les Paul Custom', this entirely black guitar was an expertly decorated work of art, dubbed 'Black Beauty'. It featured a mahogany top, the new Tune-o-matic bridge, and an Alnico-5 magnet in the neck position. In 2007 Gibson released a new edition to celebrate the anniversary of this classic.

Bumble and Birch products are lovingly crafted by hand in our North Carolina-based workshop.

Bumble and Birch products are cut in-house using a laser cutter. Edges will have a darkened look to them due to the laser cutting process. Since this is natural wood, your pieces will vary slightly in grain pattern and color. This means that you will receive a beautiful product that is 100% unique!
